About Me
My name is Matthew White, a Certified Personal Trainer Based out of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. My goal is to use my advanced education and clinical training to help individuals reach their health and fitness goals, improve quality of life, manage chronic disease and optimize performance.
With a Master of Science degree in Physical Activity and Health Promotion from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, and a Bachelor of Arts (Specialized Honours) degree from York University, I develop exercise programs and deliver 1-on-1 personal training using evidence-based principles.
While living in Toronto during my undergraduate degree I spent a semester gaining research experience in the Muscle Health Research Center at York University. In Rome, Italy, I worked as a Physiotherapist Assistant acquiring patient-facing knowledge. I also am a Registered Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario, currently working for my local health center in Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise.
I combine my knowledge and experience to provide expert personal training to individuals from all different demographics. With chronic disease on the rise and individuals spending more and more time sedentary, I aim to increase the overall health, wellbeing and fitness of all clients I work with.
